Team Leaf is an undergraduate research team at the University of Maryland. We are researching how to create cheaper and more efficient concentrated solar collector designs. Due to climate change and the current energy crisis, an inexpensive alternative energy source is necessary. Solar energy is one potential answer, but currently, the technology is expensive to implement and takes up a large amount of land. We find concentrator technology to be the answer to the cheaper photovoltaic question.
