Team MICE is divided into the business subgroup, the force subgroup, and the task subgroup. The business subgroup is comparing and analyzing people's reactions to the different mouse designs currently on the market, studying prototypes, and examining the relationship between CTS and mouse usage. They will be conducting focus groups to set constraints on the wants and needs of the high-volume computer user. The force subgroup is optimizing the design of the left mouse button. They are researching the activation forces required when using several ergonomic mice. The task subgroup is examining the efficiency of current mice designs and the muscle activity required to use them. This subgroup is looking to isolate features of current mice that reduce muscle activity; and thus, reduce the chance of developing CTS.
