Kathryn Connolly

Kathryn Connolly is a sophomore chemical engineering student and a member of the storage subgroup. She is a student in the Women In Engineering living and learning program, and is actively involved in the University of Maryland chapter of Engineers Without Borders and Maryland Sustainability Engineering. In June 2011, she traveled to a small town outside Cusco, Peru, with Engineers Without Borders where she aided in the implementation of a water conservation project. In the future, Kathryn hopes to utilize her engineering knowledge and skills to take action towards addressing the current world energy issue. Kathryn is passionate about learning, and spreading awareness, about alternative energy sources and techniques for living sustainability. In her free time she enjoys running with the Maryland club running team, playing frisbee, watching movies, baking, and relaxing in Bethany Beach, Delaware with her friends and family.
