Team CP2
Welcome to the website of Crime Prevention and Perception, known casually
as CP2. We are a team in the Gemstone Program at the University of Maryland,
and our goal is to study and address the crime rates and student perceptions
of crime in off campus student-occupied neighborhoods in the one-mile radius
around the University of Maryland. As of April 2011, our study has come

Did you know that the City of College Park installed CCTV cameras in various
locations (see map below - represented by the red dots) in off-campus, student residential areas? Our
research provided data and justification supporting the installation of
these cameras in October 2010. Please click on the “Milestones”
