Math Success Program
Free walk-in math tutoring in the North Campus Community Office & Academic Enrichment Center in Oakland Hall.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 6-9pm
Writing Center
Free assistance on any writing assignment.

Learning Assistance Services
LAS offers academic counseling, guided study sessions, a math learning program, academic groups, scholarships, and much more.
Location: The Counselling Center at 2202 Shoemaker Building.

Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Education
OMSE offers free walk-in tutoring on subjects such as Writing, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Economics. Call 301.405.5616 for information on tutors’ schedules.

University Career Center
The Career Center assists students in job/internship searching, career planning, writing resumes, applying to grad school, preparing for interviews and much more. Make an appointment by calling 301.314.7225.

John and Stella Grave’s Makerspace
Makerspace is an area located in the Terrapin Learning Commons (on McKeldin’s second floor) where UMD students can try new equipment and experiment with different materials. Equipment includes 3D printers, a vinyl cutter, a soldering kit, and much more. Call 301.405.9056 or email tlc@umd.edu to make an appointment or find out more information.

Printing
Copy, Print, and Scan at UMD Libraries
UMD Libraries offer a variety of copying, printing, and scanning services. Black and White printers and copiers are available at all libraries on campus. Color printers are only in McKeldin Library (ground floor and 4th floor), the Engineering and Physical Science Library, and the Art Library. Copying and printing is 10 cents per page for black and white and 50 cents per page for color, and payment can be through Terrapin Express or a photocopy card. Free scanning is available at libraries, also.
Specialized printing services: The TLC Tech Desk (located on the second floor of McKeldin) offers faxing, binding, and laminating services. It can also help you with large scale poster and three-dimensional printing, photocopying, and obtaining a group study room. Students can take advantage of self-service poster printing which can print posters up to 36 inches wide.

Engineering Copy Center
The Engineering Copy Center offers a variety of document reproduction services including color and black & white copies, poster printing and mounting, scanning, transparencies, e-books/class notes, design services, web design services, covers, labels & tabs, booklet stapling up to 11" x 17", stapling, folding, binding, and after-hours and rush services.

Pay for Print
This allows you to print and pick up your jobs in locations across campus using Terrapin Express. For more information visit UMD's Information Technology website.
KNES Copy and Printing Center
Submit an online request to copy or print a document and set a date to pick up your document in the KNES main office. Check online for a schedule of when the printers are operating.
Copy Centers
Copy centers provide copying, finishing, laminating, large formatting printing, and color and black & white photocopying services to students. They can also coordinate framing and print mounting work with Photo Services. A list of copy centers on campus includes Adele H. Stamp Student Union Copy Center, Reckord Armory Copy Center, Tydings Copy Center, and Van Munching Copy Center. Check here for the hours and contact information of each copy center.

TLC Equipment Loan Program
The Terrapin Learning Commons offers equipment rental to all UMD students. The available equipment includes laptops, e-book readers, laptop & phone chargers, noise-reduction headphones, cameras, HDMI/VGA cables & adapters, and much more.

Laptop Lending Program
Bring a student ID and one other form of ID (a driver’s license works) to the information desk at Adele H. Stamp Student Union to rent out a laptop for academic needs. For more information call the information desk at 301.314.3375.
