The Gemstone Program is not solely about academics! There are a number of social events throughout the year, such as Fall Food Olympics, Gems Formal, Terp Thon, and more! Make sure you check the Gemstone calendar and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for information about upcoming events.

Gemstone Leadership Positions: Gems Camp Leader, Gems100 Section Leader, and CONNECT Mentor
Thank you for your interest in one of our Gemstone leadership positions: Gems Camp Leader (Summer 2018), Gems100 Section Leader (Fall 2018), and CONNECT peer mentor (Fall 2018-Spring 2019). To apply for one of these positions, please complete an online application at go.umd.edu/gemsleadership18 no later than Friday, March 30th by 9am in order to be eligible for the group interview process held on Sunday, April 8th.
Don't forget to submit your 5 minute facilitation plan to go.umd.edu/gemsfacilitationplan prior to the start of your interview time on Sunday, April 8th. The prompt for the 5 minute facilitation is: "“Design a 5-minute original facilitation of something you wish you had learned or found extremely valuable in your first year in Gemstone…” For more information regarding the facilitation for the group interview, please refer to the info session PPT and 5-minute group interview facilitation framework documents below.
