Gems Camp
Planning Committee
The Gems Camp Planning Committee consists of four students, one Gems Camp Student Coordinator and three Gems Camp Assistant Student Coordinators, broken into respective areas: Operations and Logistics, Public Relations and Social Media, and Camp Content and CL Training. The Planning Committee is advised by the Coordinator for Student Engagement.
Applications for Gems Camp Planning Committee positions take place in the fall. Those selected must take a 1-credit course for credit in the spring semester.

Camp Leader
Gems Camp Leaders volunteer at Gems Camp to help incoming Gemstone students with their transition from high school to college by sharing their experiences in the Gemstone program and around campus. Camp Leaders facilitate group discussion, lead group activities, etc. Many Camp Leaders also serve as a valuable resource after camp for the students they've interacted with.
Thank you for your interest in being a Gems Camp Leader (Summer 2018). To apply, please complete an online application at go.umd.edu/gemsleadership18 no later than Friday, March 30th by 9am in order to be eligible for the group interview process held on Sunday, April 8th.
