President's Fall 2013 Video Message

October 22, 2013

From Dr. Wallace Loh:

"Dear University of Maryland Community:

The fall semester is always an exciting time at the University of Maryland!

As we enter into the 2013-14 academic year, my focus is on building a university that is truly excellent in everything we do -- academics, arts, athletics, and improving our surrounding community.  And underlying all of these aspects is our spirit of innovation, our fearless spirit.

In this short video, you can see for yourself just some of the exciting developments all across campus.

Please join us for a very special Homecoming this weekend.  This year, we have added a Friday night carnival on McKeldin Mall, complete with a step show and fireworks.  We hope that all of you can come back to share in the remarkable spirit here at the University of Maryland.  I welcome your comments at president@umd.edu.

Go Terps!

Sincerely,

Wallace D. Loh
President, University of Maryland
